Congratulations to Raven
- the Horse DOG of the Month for July. (It's not just for horses!)

"Dear Stomach Soother,

Please meet the love of my life, Raven. Raven is a 10 year-old Labrador Retriever who I adopted through a rescue 6 years ago. He is a Certified Pet Therapy dog who works with special needs children and chronically ill adults. He has been my one and only since he rescued me after a difficult divorce. This past July Raven became ill and required surgery. Raven developed Gastroesophageal Reflux as a surgical complication. He was unable to eat and drink due to extreme acid reflux and nausea. It was horrible to see my boy, once a voracious eater, turn his head away from all food. I tried begging him to eat, tricking him into eating, demanding he eat, ordering him to eat, and thinking positively to make him hungry. Nothing worked. I attempted to coax him with every dog and human food imaginable. He ate nothing. Raven spent two weeks without food or water, highly nauseated. I kept him alive on Sub-Q fluids to prevent dehydration. He was slowly starving to death. It was recommended by his emergency surgery veterinarian that he be euthanized. I chose to take him to a well known holistic veterinarian who started him on a remedy of pure papaya called Natural Plan Stomach Soother. While still at the holistic vet's office he began to drink and take small treats. When he and I returned home later that day, Raven entered the house, walked directly to his food bowl, and ate the kibble that had been sitting, untouched, for two weeks. I cried with gratitude. Despite having a chronic condition requiring ongoing use of Stomach Soother, Raven remains free of nausea and eats normally. it is a miracle to still have him here with me. Who would have ever thought that a papaya product would help save the love of my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you Stomach Soother!"
